Weaning to 11 weeks of age, feed as much as your kitten will eat in 3 or 4 feedings per day.
11 to 26 weeks of age, feed 1 can per pound of body weight per day.
26 to 52 weeks of age, feed 3/4 can per pound of body weight per day.
Feed according to the age, size and activity of your cat. Feed at room temperature and refrigerate unused portion. Always provide plenty of fresh water. These recommendations are guidelines only and should be adjusted according to or based upon your cat's health, body condition, life stage, sex, activity and climatic temperature.
Gradually transition by adding a small amount of American Journey wet food to your cat's current diet, reducing the amount of the current diet and increasing the amount of American Journey for 7 - 10 days until the transition is complete. This will allow your cat's digestive system to acclimate to the new food without causing any tummy upset. We recommend the following protocol:
Days 1-2: 75% old food with 25% new food
Days 3-4: 50% old food with 50% new food
Days 5-7: 25% old food with 75% new food
Days 8+: 100% new food
