Senior & Overweight Adult Dogs: May be fed a reduced amount, depending on the dog's weight and activity level.
Pregnant & Lactating Dogs: May be fed at twice the Adult recommendations. Lactating females require twice the amount of food as an Adult dog and should be fed 3 - 4 times a day.
When switching to an American Natural Premium Formula, a gradual transition is recommended, but not required. Start by adding a small amount of American Natural Premium pet food to your dog's current diet while reducing the amount of the old diet. Increase the amount of American Natural Premium for 7 - 10 days until the transition is complete. For sensitive dogs, we recommend a 10-14 day transition.
