Whether this is your dog’s first urinary issue or he has developed food sensitivities and needs ongoing urinary care, your veterinarian recommended Royal Canin Urinary SO + Hydrolyzed Protein for a reason. This dry urinary dog food was developed by veterinarians to nutritionally support your pal’s urinary tract and bladder health. It’s designed with Relative Supersaturation (RSS) methodology to help lower ion concentration in urine, which contributes to stone formation. This formula promotes a urinary environment unfavorable to the formation of both struvite and calcium oxalate crystals. Hydrolyzed proteins, composed of low-molecular-weight peptides, support gastrointestinal and skin health. Talk to your veterinarian about keeping your canine on this diet for long-term care. Ask about Royal Canin Urinary or Hydrolyzed Protein Treats (sold separately) to complement your dog’s feeding routine.

We recommend at least a 7 day transition before you begin feeding the new food exclusively. Start by mixing 75% of the old diet with 25% of the new diet on Day 1 and Day 2. On Day 3 and Day 4, mix 50% of the old diet with 50% of the new diet. On Day 5 and Day 6, mix 25% of the old diet with 75% of the new diet. On the 7th day, you can feed the new food exclusively. This allows your pet’s digestive system to smoothly adapt to the new food.
