Salix is an effective diuretic possessing a wide therapeutic range by promoting the rapid removal of excess fluid that can build up as a result of kidney failure, heart failure and other medical problems. It may also be used to treat high blood pressure.
Your pet may experience dehydration, abnormal urine production, electrolyte imbalances, vomiting, weakness, increased heart rate, depression or restlessness. If any of the following side effects occur, or others that are not listed, please contact your veterinarian immediately.
Do not use in animals who are allergic to sulfa drugs or furosemide. This medication may increase urination. Be cautious using Salix in animals with diabetes mellitus and kidney disease.

Furosemide, Lactose Monohydrate, Starch, Corn, Cellulose, Microcrystalline, Magnesium Stearate, FD&C Yellow No. 5.
Follow instructions exactly as given by your veterinarian, as dosage depends on milligram concentration. Give between 1/2 and one 50 mg scored tablet per 25 pounds of body weight once or twice daily. Give one 12.5 mg tablet per 5 to 10 pounds of body weight.
Store at or below 77°F.
